Claire Saxby now lives in Melbourne but spent much of her first 20 years moving throughout Australia and PNG. The places shes lived and visited appear often in her work. She writes fiction, non-fiction and poetry for children. Christina has won awards in Australia for Notable Childrens books and is also recognised as a collectable landscape painter. She works from her homebased studio in Tasmania, Australias island state. Christina lives close to the beach and the bush, both providing a source of inspiration for colour, texture and light, flora and fauna which so often appear in her work.
