The book covers the collection of more than 50 captioned, black & white and full-coloured sketches of the architecture of Venice accompanied by quotations from well-known authors and artists. The preface to the book describes the story of how the artworks came into being, and was developed in addition to information about the artwork methodology. A set of thumbnail illustrations of each of the 50 or so full artworks is included at the back of the book in the form of an index. The regular edition comes with a decorative dust jacket and endpapers featuring black and white aerial sketch views of Central Venice. 88 pages, including 4 dramatic page double gatefolds featuring the two most elaborate works in the series.
