This story opens in 1980, with a battle between Alex Moran, DIA's head of station in Marseilles, and a brutal, ruthless terrorist - an assassin who takes Alex's wife hostage. She is murdered but before Alex can slake his thirst for revenge, he must unravel the threads of a web woven by his father.
